What is the difference between Limo and Taxi service? |

All too often when a person is seeking transportation outside of their conventional means, they tend to veer more towards calling a taxi as opposed to renting a limousine. Research shows that more often than not, the reason behind their decision of a taxi is because in their minds, the limousine is something that is reserved for special occasions like weddings or lavish events. But overwhelmingly, when those persons asked polled more often than not responded that in their minds, a taxi was the far less expensive option. While this is the prevailing wisdom among general consumers, it is not necessarily the case.
While research does in fact show that the cost difference between a taxi and a limousine is minimal at best with either side claiming an advantage over the other depending upon the area surveyed, on the surface it would appear that a limousine is the much more pleasurable travel option. In large metropolitan areas, taxis are known to operate on a first come, first serve basis with the customer that is noticed being the one that receives service.
While there is nothing wrong with this practice as it is commonly accepted throughout the industry, when contrasted with a limousine that offers the customer the peace of mind that comes from knowing that at the beginning or end of a busy day, they have a reliable source of transportation waiting for them it would appear that the limousines have a decided edge. In addition, limousines offer the privacy that is not always a part of the taxi experience along with a host of other amenities that make them a much more pleasurable option. While the aura of luxury will almost certainly remain a part of the limousine industry, the perception that it is beyond reach economically is beginning to change as more and more, the common man begins to understand their benefits.
The overall service will be completely different between a taxi and a limousine, from the airport going to the hotel. Here is a comparison between a taxi and a pre-booked limousine.
